Cards on Campus at Forest Park Community College
Spade University LLC was established in May 2009 by Fatima Dauntess. Fatima is a 2010 graduate of the Order of the Magi on Terra under the instruction of Robert Lee Camp. The Capricorn 6 of Spades says she just knew this was her path when she came across the books (LOVE CARDS and CARDS OF YOUR DESTINY authored by ROBERT LEE CAMP) in a local Barnes and Nobles with her sister Kijie Waddell. After her discovery she called Robert and began taking classes. Fatima informs us that she has always had a knack for the esoteric sciences to get to the truth. “I didn’t always like myself, partly because I didn’t understand myself or what I was doing here, so I would always read my zodiac sign for direction. It’d be accurate but not fulfilling”
“When I discovered the cards, man, it was a real eye opener for me. So I wanted to take it further. I chose to establish the company on the Ace of Spades day because in spring it brings a spring-like transformation. “Something new.”
Gathering, contemplating and meditating over the past four years, Fatima explained the times when she felt that the cards were stacked against her and how these times were the most profound and transforming, forcing her to realize her creativity. Bringing to the forefront our everyday choices of music, popular box office hits and childhood fairytales Fatima sees how the Cards can show us our everyday challenges and auspicious opportunities that are often misunderstood or overlooked. When reaching people with this powerful tool of self-empowerment she tells us that parties is “her thing”. Fatima is determined to bring about some positive changes with an original vision in Spade University, to her city. “As a child I always felt that I came here to do something. Even though I felt at times the cards were stacked against me, I knew I came to planet Earth for a reason so I vowed to never give up and let nothing stop me. No matter what happens I know that I can overcome, always. I also decided that whatever road I do take will be fun. I cannot do boring.”
Fatima Dauntess credits her 5th grade teacher Mrs. Joan Lee, a now retired teacher to be her biggest motivator. “I have to say that my 5th grade teacher reminds me always where I came from. She had to be the teacher that showed the most passion. I totally dig that in a teacher. I know that I can never say that I don’t know better. It was in her class that I realized that there was more to this world than north St. Louis City. She’s my godmother now.” I have always had queens in my life sharpening me on my journey to self, some were harder than others but that’s gonna have to be a different interview. I feel like I “really” get them now…like I understand the role they each played and are still playing in my life …sometimes I just gotta laugh and cry, but I’m grateful. They made me realize that I am sort of a wild card.” Fatima D.
Cards up her sleeve, Fatima Dauntess and team have already managed and hosted several very successful private informative parties around St. Louis, such as A Night with the Cards. Not limited to readings and parties Fatima has also given a presentation at Forest Park Community College. “Omg it was, I don’t even know, scary hahaha. I didn’t expect that many people would show up. I was so nervous and excited and I didn’t know how people would respond to something like this. I looked out and there weren’t any seats left, I almost pee’d my pants! Hahaha”
